2. If the courtesy lamp is inoperative when either door is open verify the courtesy lamp master switch in the light assembly is in the Door position.

3. If the courtesy lamp consistently fails to illuminate with the master switch in the Door position and the driver and passenger door open refer to the

Repair Manual to diagnose the circuit.

4. If the courtesy lamp fails to illuminate with only one of the doors opened or the condition is intermittent replace the affected side door courtesy

switch.

5. Verify normal courtesy lamp operation after switch replacement.
