Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE BACK WINDOW PANEL TRIM UPPER 

2. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT BULB

a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Turn in the direction indicated by the arrow, remove the high mounted stop light bulb and the high mounted stop light socket and wire as a

unit.

3. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE

a. Remove the high mounted stop light bulb from the high mounted stop light socket and wire.

4. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the 2 screws.
b. Disengage the 4 claws and remove the high mounted stop light assembly.

5. REMOVE HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT GASKET

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT GASKET

a. Clean the installation surface of the high mounted stop light assembly with white gasoline.
b. Install the new high mounted stop light gasket.

2. INSTALL HIGH MOUNTED STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY
