7. SEPARATE STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

a. Fix the steering wheel with the seat belt in order to prevent rotation.

HINT:  This operation is useful to prevent damage to the spiral cable.

b. Loosen the bolt and remove the clamp from the steering column hole shield.

c. Remove the bolt, and then slide the steering intermediate shaft assembly.

NOTICE:  Do not separate the steering intermediate shaft assembly.

d. Put matchmarks on the steering intermediate shaft assembly and the power steering link assembly
e. Separate the steering intermediate shaft assembly from the power steering link assembly.

8. SEPARATE TIE ROD ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the cotter pin and the nut.
