13. REMOVE REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and the rear axle carrier sub-assembly from the shock absorber. 

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the outboard joint boot.

^

Be careful not to damage the speed sensor rotor.

INSTALLATION 

1. INSTALL REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY

a. Install the rear axle carrier sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and nuts to the shock absorber.

Torque: 180 Nm (1,840 kgf-cm, 133 ft. lbs.) 

NOTICE:

Be careful not to damage the outboard joint boot.

^

Be careful not to damage the speed sensor rotor.

^

Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor rotor.

HINT:  Insert the bolt from the rear side of the vehicle and tighten the bolt.

2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY NO.2

a. Temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm assembly No.2 with the bolt and nut.

HINT:  Insert the bolt from the rear side of the vehicle and lightly tighten the bolt.
