Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring on the crankshaft position sensor.

(b) Install the crankshaft position sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH 

3. INSTALL COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH 

4. CONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

5. CONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

6. INSTALL RADIATOR ASSEMBLY AND FAN ASSEMBLY WITH MOTOR See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling

System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

7. INSTALL COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

8. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation

9. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) 

10. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch) 

11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE 

12. CONNECT COOLING FAN ECU CONNECTOR See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

13. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

14. CONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

15. CONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Installation

16. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Installation
