Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair
Removal

ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH See: Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Mud Flap/Service and Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH See: Fender/Front Fender/Front Fender Liner/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE See: Grille/Service and Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

(a) Remove the hood lock nut cap.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts.

(c) Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)

(a) Disconnect the connector.
