Removal

2GR-FE INTAKE: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

5. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH 

7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH 

8. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

10. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

11. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Tune-up and Engine Performance Checks/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and

Repair/Removal

12. DISCONNECT ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

(a) Disconnect the 5 harness clamps.

13. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY BRACKET

(a) Remove the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration and remove the throttle body bracket.

14. REMOVE NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY
