Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation

2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: KNOCK SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR

(a) Install the 2 knock control sensors with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.

Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 knock control sensor connectors.

2. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

4. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

5. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and

Repair/Installation

6. TEMPORARILY INSTALL THROTTLE BODY BRACKET See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and

Repair/Installation

7. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

8. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 SURGE TANK STAY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

9. FULLY TIGHTEN THROTTLE BODY BRACKET See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

10. CONNECT ENGINE ROOM WIRE See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation

11. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Air Cleaner Housing/Service and Repair/Installation

12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

13. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Testing and Inspection
