Repair Procedure

1. Remove the hood lock control cable assembly.

NOTE

For all vehicles follow the procedure for removal of the hood lock assembly "with Engine Hood Courtesy Switch".

Disconnect the control cable from the latch assembly but do NOT remove the control cable from the vehicle.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS) applicable model and model year Repair Manual:

2. Install the NEW hood lock control cable assembly.

3. Confirm proper operation of the security system.
