Refer to Fig. 20, for assistance.

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable

2.

Remove steering wheel, combination switch and turn signal bracket.

3.

Apply protection tape to roof pillars.

4.

Remove hood and fuel filler release levers. Then remove lower finish panel.

5.

Remove No. 2 heater to register duct.

6.

Remove choke knob, ashtray, ashtray receptacle and instrument cluster center finish panel.

7.

Remove instrument cluster finish panel.

8.

Remove instrument cluster. Then remove heater control unit and radio. Disconnect necessary connectors.

9.

Remove front console box, then instrument panel speaker. Disconnect connectors.

10.

Remove glove compartment door. Then remove engine ECU.
