Fluid Level and Condition Check

1.

Ensure operating temperatures are 158-176°F.

2.

Park vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.

3.

With the engine idling, shift the shift lever through all positions, then return to park.

4.

Remove the dipstick and wipe it off. Replace the dipstick, then remove it a second time.

5.

Ensure fluid level is in the HOT range. If not add fluid as necessary.

6.

Total dry fill capacity on models with oil cooler are 16.3 quarts, on models, less oil cooler 15.9 quarts.
