Fluid Drain & Refill

1.

Remove drain plug and drain fluid. Reinstall drain plug and torque to 20 ft. lbs.

2.

With engine Off, add new fluid through the filler tube, using ATF Dexron II.

3.

Fluid drain and refill capacity is 6.3 US qts.

4.

Start engine and shift into all positions, then return to P position. With the engine running, check the fluid level. Add fluid up to the Cool level on
the dipstick.

5.

Check the fluid level at operating temperatures, 158-176°F and add as necessary. 

6.

Total dry fill capacity on models with oil cooler are 16.3 quarts, on models, less oil cooler 15.9 quarts.
