Remove Disc

Place a matchmarks on the Disc and Rear Hub, and remove the Disc.

NOTE:  If the Disc cannot be removed easily, turn the shoe adjuster until the wheel turns freely.

Remove Tension Spring

4. Remove tension spring.

Using needle-nose pliers, remove the tension spring.

Remove Shoe Return Springs

5. Remove shoe return springs.

-

Using Special Service Tool (SST) # 09717-20010, remove the 2 shoe return springs.

6. Remove shoe strut with spring.

Remove Rear Shoe, Adjuster, Shoe Strut And Spring

7. Remove Rear Shoe, adjuster and tension spring.

(a) Slide out the Rear Shoe, and remove the Rear Shoe, adjuster, shoe strut and spring.
(b) Remove the lower side tension spring.
(c) Remove the 2 shoe hold-down spring cups, spring and pin.
