c. Hold the shock absorber and remove the lower mounting nut, shock absorber, 3 cushions and 4 retainers.

Torque to 69 Nm (51 ft. lbs.).

3. Disconnect the stabilizer bar from axle housing then remove the coil spring by performing the following.

a. Jack down and support axle housing.
b. Using the 09727 - 30021 Special Service Tool (SST), compress the coil spring. 

NOTE: Do not use an impact wrench, it will damage the SST.

c. Remove the coil spring taking care to align the coil spring end with the lower seat and install the coil spring.

5. Remove the 2 nuts and follow spring.

Torque to 9.2 Nm (82 inch lbs.).

6. Reverse procedure to install.
