Water Pump: Service and Repair
Removal

2ZR-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT   See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY   See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

7. REMOVE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 5 bolts and water pump assembly from the timing chain cover.

(b) Remove the water pump gasket from the timing chain cover.
