Installation

AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the differential with rear No. 1 differential support to the rear suspension member front side with 2 new bolts and the 2 nuts.

Torque : 118 Nm (1200 kgf-cm, 87 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the differential with rear No. 1 differential support to the rear suspension member rear side with 2 new rear mounting bolts.

Torque : 137 Nm (1400 kgf-cm, 101 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL NO. 6 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET   See: Body and Frame/Frame/Cross-Member/Rear Cross-Member/Service and

Repair/Installation

3. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER

4. ADD DIFFERENTIAL OIL   See: Fluid - Differential/Service and Repair

5. INSPECT AND ADJUST DIFFERENTIAL OIL   See: Fluid - Differential/Service and Repair

6. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK

7. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

   See: Maintenance/Alignment/Service and Repair/Rear Wheel Alignment (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension)

8. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

w/o VSC    See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic
