DRIVE SHAFT / PROPELLER SHAFT: PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove SST from the transfer.

SST : 09325-20010

(b) Install the propeller with center bearing shaft assembly.

NOTICE:
*

Be careful not to damage the oil seal.

*

Be careful not to damage the universal joint boot when installing the propeller shaft.

(c) Align the matchmarks on the rear propeller shaft and the electromagnetic control coupling assembly and install the 4 nuts and 4 washers

temporarily.

(d) Temporarily install the propeller with center bearing shaft assembly with the 4 bolts and 4 No. 2 center support bearing washers.

NOTICE:
Reuse the washers.

(e) Fully tighten the 4 nuts.

Torque : 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)
