Rear Cross-Member: Service and Repair
Installation

REAR SUSPENSION: REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL STUD BOLT

(a) Install the 2 stud bolts.

Torque: 17 Nm (175 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION (for 4WD) 
3. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY (for 4WD) 
4. INSTALL NO. 6 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET (for 4WD)

(a) Install the No. 6 exhaust pipe support bracket with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)

5. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER BAR
6. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER BUSHING See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear Stabilizer Bar (for

Double Wishbone Type Suspension)/Installation

7. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BRACKET See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear

Stabilizer Bar (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension)/Installation

8. INSTALL UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Upper

Arm/Installation

9. INSTALL UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:  Perform the same procedure for the LH side.

10. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER (for 2WD)

(a) Raise the rear suspension member using a jack and wooden block.

(b) Install the rear suspension member with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

Torque: 105 Nm (1071 kgf-cm, 77 ft-lbf)

11. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER (for 4WD)

(a) Raise the rear suspension member using a jack and wooden block.
