Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Installation

2AZ-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: INTAKE MANIFOLD: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD

(a) Install a new gasket into the intake manifold.

(b) Install the intake manifold with the 5 bolts and 2 nuts.

Torque: 30 Nm (306 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

(c) Fit the union to connector tube hose into the vacuum hose clamp.
(d) Install the wire harness clamp.
(e) Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
(f) Connect the union to connector tube hose to the No. 2 hose to hose tube.

2. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and

Repair/Installation

3. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE See: Powertrain Management/Emission Control Systems/Positive Crankcase Ventilation/Positive

Crankcase Ventilation Valve/Service and Repair/Installation

4. CONNECT FUEL MAIN TUBE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation
5. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Installation

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle

Body/Service and Repair/Installation

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE:  When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
9. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK See: Cooling System/Testing and Inspection

10. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Testing and Inspection
11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation
12. INSTALL SUSPENSION TOWER DAMPER ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Strut Bar) See: Body and Frame/Frame/Strut Tower Brace/Service and

Repair/Installation

13. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL See: Brakes and Traction Control/Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal

and Replacement/Installation

14. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front
