Removal

2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
3. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.
(b) Separate the crankshaft position sensor connector clamp and wire harness.
(c) Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.
