(e) Remove the E-ring and separate the 2 claws, then remove the fuel pump sub-tank.

NOTE:  Do not separate the tube indicated in the illustration  See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Fuel System Precaution.

(f) Disconnect the fuel pump harness connector.

NOTE:  Do not damage the wire harness.

(g) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 fuel suction support.

(h) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 5 claws, and remove the suction filter and fuel pump from the fuel

filter.

NOTICE:
-

Do not damage the fuel pump filter or fuel filter.

Do not remove the suction filter.

-

Do not use either the fuel pump or the suction filter if the suction filter is removed from the fuel pump.
