THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: TRANSPONDER KEY ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

(a) Remove the air conditioning unit See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Air Conditioning

Unit/Removal.

2. REMOVE TRANSPONDER KEY ECU

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Disengage the clamp.
(c) Remove the bolt and the transponder key ECU.

Installation

THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: TRANSPONDER KEY ECU: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSPONDER KEY ECU

(a) Install the transponder key ECU with the bolt.
(b) Engage the clamp.
(c) Connect the connector.

2. INSTALL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT

(a) Install the air conditioning unit See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Housing Assembly HVAC/Service and Repair/Air Conditioning

Unit/Installation.

3. REGISTER ECU COMMUNICATION ID

NOTE:  After replacing the transponder key ECU, perform initialization  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Engine Immobiliser System.

4. REGISTER KEY

NOTE:  After replacing the transponder key ECU, perform initialization  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Antitheft and Alarm
Systems/Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Engine Immobiliser System.
