(a) Engage the 2 pins to install the No. 1 steering wheel ornament to the steering wheel sub-assembly.

(b) Install the screw.

7. TURN FRONT WHEELS TO FACE STRAIGHT AHEAD
8. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable/Service and Repair/Installation
9. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Align the matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.
(b) Install the steering wheel assembly set nut.

Torque: 50 Nm (510 kgf-cm, 37 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the connectors to the spiral cable sub-assembly.

11. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering

12. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering

Pad/Installation

13. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT
14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
15. INSPECT STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Installation
16. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
