(a) Support the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly using a jack and wooden block.

(b) Remove the bolt and the nut, and separate the rear shock absorber with coil spring from the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly.

(c) Remove the 3 nuts.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts from the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly.
(e) Press the rear No. 1 suspension arm assembly down to the outside of the vehicle and remove the rear shock absorber with coil spring.

43. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SHOCK ABSORBER CUSHION WASHER

(a) Using SST, compress the rear coil spring.

NOTE:  Do not use an impact wrench. It will damage SST.
HINT:  If the rear coil spring is compressed at an angle, using 2 SST will make the work easier.
