Interior Lighting Relay: Testing and Inspection

INTEGRATION RELAY

a. Check illuminated entry operation.

1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal A-1 and negative (-) lead to terminal A-9.
2. Check that the battery voltage (10 - 14 V) generates between terminal B-3 and A-9, then connect the negative (-) lead from the battery to

terminal A-5 and A-6.

3. Disconnect the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal A-5 and A-6, or connect the positive (-) lead from the battery to terminal B-18 or

B-19, or connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal A-10, then check that there is no voltage between terminal A-12 and A-9.

b. Inspect battery saver operation.

1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal A-1 and negative (-) lead to terminal A-9.
2. Connect the negative (-) lead from the battery to terminal A-5 and A-6, then check that the battery voltage (10 - 14 V) generates between

terminal A-12 and A-9.

3. After 20 min., check that there is no voltage between terminal A-12 and A-9.
