Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle, then drain engine oil into suitable container.
3.
Remove engine pipe-to-exhaust manifold attaching bolts, then separate exhaust pipe from manifold.
4.
Remove timing belt and crankshaft sprocket. Refer to ``Timing Belt, Replace'' for procedure.
5.
Install right side engine mount.
6.
Remove oil pan attaching bolts, then the oil pan using a suitable tool. Use caution not to damage oil pan flange.
7.
Remove oil strainer attaching bolts, then the oil strainer and gasket.
8.
Remove baffle plate using a suitable tool. Use caution not to damage flange.
9.
Remove oil level dipstick and tube.
10.
Remove oil pump attaching bolts, then the oil pump assembly.
11.
Reverse procedure to install.
