1.

Remove oil pump cover, drive gear and driven gear, Fig. 135.

2.

Remove oil seal and relief valve subassembly.

3.

Check contact surfaces of oil seal and drive gear for damage and wear.

Measure clearance between drive gear and driven gear crescents, Fig. 136. If clearance is greater than .0138 inch (.35 mm), replace rotor set.
