Control Module HVAC: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 12 ATC Terminal Adjustment.

1.

Remove undercovers and glove box from vehicle.

2.

Disconnect single white terminal connectors at heater assembly, the connect black check connector to female single terminal connector.

3.

Place temperature control lever at 77, then start and idle engine.

4.

Place blower motor switch in "Auto" position, then verify lower edge of guide plate on servo motor is positioned between lines on servo motor
shaft. If edge is not positioned as described, adjust by changing terminal position in A/C wire harness. Normally, the adjusting terminal is
connected to the orange terminal.

5.

If adjusting terminal is within the red area, Fig. 12, connect adjusting terminal to red terminal. If scale is positioned within the white area, connect
adjusting terminal to white terminal.

6.

Reconnect A/C wire harness to amplifier, then disconnect check connector from wire harness.

7.

Reconnect white connector, then install glove box and undercovers.
