Remove boot clamps, Fig. 7.

Disassemble inboard joint as follows:
a. Place alignment marks on the inboard joint and driveshaft. Do not use a punch to place marks.
b. Remove snap ring.
c. Using tool 09726-10010 or equivalent and a suitable press, remove inboard joint from driveshaft.
d. Remove bolts, nuts and washers from inboard joint.
e. Using a hammer and screwdriver, remove inboard joint from inboard joint cover.
f.
Remove boots.

Temporarily install boots and new boot clamps. Before installing the boot, wrap tape around the shaft spline to prevent damage to the boot.
