Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Remove nut and disconnect stabilizer link from stabilizer bar, Fig. 6.

3.

Remove two stabilizer bar bracket bolts, then the stabilizer bar with bracket.

4.

Remove bracket and cushion from stabilizer bar.

5.

Remove stabilizer link from shock absorber.

6.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque stabilizer link to shock absorber attaching nut to 47 ft. lbs., the stabilizer bar to body attaching nut to 14 ft.
lbs., and the stabilizer link to stabilizer bar attaching nut to 47 ft. lbs.
