Temporarily install the boot and a new clamp to the outboard joint. Install driveshaft damper and a new clamp (for right hand shaft only). Place the
boot clamp inline with the groove of the driveshaft. Temporarily install the boot and a new clamp (for the inboard joint only) onto driveshaft.

Assemble new inboard joint cover. Apply seal packing to the inboard joint cover.

Align bolt holes on cover with those on the inboard joint, then insert the attaching bolts. Using a suitable hammer, tap rim of the inboard joint
cover into place. Alternate taps on the inboard joint cover. Use bolts, nuts and washers to keep the inboard joint together. Tighten bolts by hand.

Assemble inboard joint. Align marks placed during disassembly. Using a suitable bar and a hammer, tap the inboard joint onto the driveshaft.
Ensure bar is contacting the inner race and not the bearing cage.

Install snap ring.

Assemble boot to outboard joint. Before assembling boot, pack .26-.29 lb. of suitable grease into boot. Use grease supplied in boot kit.

Assemble boot to inboard joint. Before assembling boot, pack .20-.22 lb. of suitable grease into boot. Use grease supplied in boot kit.

Assemble new boot clamps to both boots, ensure boot is on the shaft groove. Bend band and lock it. Ensure boot is not stretched or contracted
when the driveshaft is at standard length. Driveshaft lengths should be as follows: 

a. Manual transaxle left hand driveshaft length should be 15.05-15.44 inches.
b. Automatic transaxle left hand driveshaft length should be 16.18-16.57 inches.
c. Manual transaxle right hand driveshaft length should be 26.80-27.19 inches.
d. Automatic transaxle right hand driveshaft length should be 27.54-27.93 inches.

12.

Check driveshaft. Ensure there is no play in the inboard and outboard joint. Ensure inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction. Ensure that
there is no play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.
