Tachometer: Testing and Inspection
TACHOMETER INSPECTION (ON-VEHICLE)
1. Connect a tune-up test tachometer, and start the engine.
NOTICE:

The connection of the tachometer in reverse will damage the transistors and diodes inside.

When removing or installing the tachometer, be car eful not to drop or subject it to heavy shocks.
2. Compare the tester and tachometer indications.
DC 13.6 V 25° C (77 ° F)
If error is excessive, replace the tachometer.
