3. Remove the shock absorber and the coil spring after doing the following.
a. Support the axle beam with a jack.
b. Remove the nut and bolt on the lower side of the shock absorber.
NOTE: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the bolt to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
c. Remove the two nuts on the upper side of the shock absorber.
NOTE: When installing the two nuts, tighten them to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
d. Remove the shock absorber and coil spring.
INSTALLATION
Install in reverse order of the removal procedure.
Inspection
INSPECTION

Compress and extend the shock absorber rod and check that there is no abnormal resistance or unusual operation sounds. If there is any
abnormality, replace the shock absorber with a new one.
