Water Pump: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Drain cooling system, then remove radiator and drive belts.
3.
Remove fan fluid coupling, water pump pulley and fan assembly.
4.
Remove timing belt cover. Refer to ``Timing Belt Cover, Replace'' for procedure.
5.
Remove timing belt tension spring.
6.
Remove water pump attaching bolts, then the water pump.
7.
Reverse procedure to install.
Torque water pump attaching bolts to 14 ft. lbs.
