Tension Spring Installation
d. Install the tension spring and loosen the idler pulley attaching bolt to where the idler pulley lightly moves with tension spring force.
Checking Valve Timing And Belt Tension

Check valve timing and timing belt tension, as follows:
a. Temporarily install the crankshaft pulley attaching bolt and turn crankshaft two complete revolutions from TDC to TDC. Always turn the
crankshaft clockwise.
Checking Pulley Alignment
b. Check that each pulley aligns with timing marks.
