Spark Plug: Service and Repair

Ignition Wire Removal

1.

Remove ignition wires from spark plugs.

2.

Remove spark plugs from cylinder head with proper spark plug socket.

3.

Using a suitable gapping tool, adjust spark plug gap.

Spark Plug Gap:

0.031 in (0.8 mm)

4.

Apply a light coat of anti-seize compound to plug threads.

5.

Install plugs and torque to specification.

Torque Value:

13 ftlb (18 Nm)

6.

Reconnect spark plug wires in correct firing order.

Firing Order:
