Water Pump: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Drain engine coolant.
2. Drain engine oil.
3. Remove No. 2 engine under cover.
4. Remove RH engine side under cover.
5. Disconnect heater hose and radiator outlet hose.
6. Remove oil filter bracket.
7. Disconnect water hose from water pump.
8. Remove water inlet housing and water pump assembly.
9. Remove water pump.
INSTALLATION
1. Install water pump.
(a) Install a new gasket and the water pump to the housing with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (200 kg.cm, 14 ft. lbs.)
(b) Install a new O-ring to the water pump.
2. Install water inlet housing and water pump assembly.
(a) Install 2 new O-rings into the grooves of timing chain case.
