Accessory Shaft: Testing and Inspection
CAUTION: The equipment drive shaft is an assembly replacement part. If a malfunction is discovered when inspecting it, replace the equipment drive
shaft as a unit.
1. Inspect flexible coupling.
Check the front and rear flexible couplings for cracks or damage.
2. Inspect equipment drive shaft bearing.
Rotate the flange of the equipment drive shaft bearing and check and that the equipment drive shaft bearing rotates smoothly and without any
strange noise.
3. Check equipment drive shaft runout.
Maximum runout: 0.8 mm (0.031 inch)
4. Inspect fluid coupling.
Visually check that the fluid coupling has no damage, no leaks and no silicone oil leakage.
