Door Switch: Testing and Inspection

DOOR COURTESY SWITCH INSPECTION

1. INSPECT SWITCH OPERATION

Front Door:
a. Check that there is continuity between terminal 1 and switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released).
b. Check that there is continuity between terminal 2 and switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released).
c. Check that there is no continuity between terminal 1 or 2 and switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed).

If continuity is not as specified. replace the switch.

2. INSPECT SWITCH OPERATION

Slide Door:
a. Check that there is continuity between terminal and switch body with the switch ON (switch pin released).
b. Check that there is no continuity between terminal and switch body with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed).

3. INSPECT SWITCH OPERATION

Back Door:
a. Check that there is continuity between terminal 1 and 3 with the switch ON (switch pin released).
b. Check that there is no continuity between terminal 1 and 3 with the switch OFF (switch pin pushed).
