Previa Van LE 4WD L4-2438cc 2.4L DOHC SC MFI (1997)
1. Install bearing.
a. Using SST # 09608 - 10010 or equivalent and a press, install a new bearing to the steering knuckle.
NOTICE: If the inner races come loose from the bearing outer race, be sure to Install them on the same side as before.
b. Using snap ring pliers, install the snap ring.
2. Install outer oil seal.
a. Place the outer bearing.
b. Using SST # 09213 - 58012, 09608 - 10010 or equivalents and a hammer, install a new oil seal until it is flush with end surface of the steering
knuckle.
3. Install dust cover. Install the dust cover with the 3 bolts.
Torque: 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.)
4. Install axle hub. Using SST # 09316 - 60011 (09316 - 00011), 09608 - 10011 or equivalents and a press, install the axle hub.
5. Install inner oil seal. Using SST # 09608 - 32010, 09950 - 70010 (09951 - 07100) or equivalents and a hammer, install a new oil seal.
