Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
Replacement
FUEL INJECTOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES
1. Remove injector covers.
2. Remove injector.
(a) Apply gasoline between the delivery pipe and injectors.
(b) Using Special Service Tool (SST) Injector Remover # 09268-74010 or equivalent, lift up the injector.
(c) Pull out the 4 injectors from the delivery pipe.
(d) Remove the insulator and 2 O-rings from each injector.
3. Install injector.
(a) Apply a light coat of gasoline to 2 new O-rings.
(b) Install the 2 O-rings and new insulator to each injector.
(c) Push in the injector so that the injector connectors are positioned as shown in the illustration.
4. Install injector covers.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kg.cm, 48 inch lbs.)
