Removal

THEFT DETERRENT / KEYLESS ENTRY: CERTIFICATION ECU: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for Separate Type)   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

2. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

6. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Lower Instrument Panel/Removal

7. REMOVE ECU INTEGRATION BOX RH   See: Power and Ground Distribution/Power Distribution Module/Service and Repair/Removal

8. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disengage the 2 craws and remove the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly).
