Prius L4-1.8L (2ZR-FXE) Hybrid (2010)
Required Tools & Equipment
Toyota strongly recommends using 3M(TM) RITE-LOK SB20 where noted in the Repair Procedure. If any other adhesive is used, the repair may not
have the desired outcome.
Repair Procedure
The adhesive utilized in this repair must be allowed to cure for 2 hours for maximum effectiveness. Please consider this prior to performing the repair.
1. Remove the parking brake pedal pad if it is still partially attached to the parking brake pedal.
2. Verify the condition of the parking brake pedal pad. Replace the parking brake pedal pad if it is damaged or deformed. If pad is loose, but not
damaged or deformed, then proceed to step 3.
3. Cover the driver's side foot well with a plastic drop cloth to protect the carpet from Brake Clean over-spray and adhesive drips.
4. Spray the parking brake pedal and parking brake pedal pad with Brake Clean. Wipe thoroughly with a clean cloth.
Repeat cleaning procedure three times.
5. Reinstall the parking brake pedal pad. Push on the RH side of the pedal pad to insure it is fully seated on the parking brake pedal.
6. Adhere the parking brake pedal pad to the parking brake pedal using RITE-LOK SB20 adhesive.
