Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: COMPRESSOR: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

   See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Service Precautions/Hybrid Control System

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM   See: Service and Repair

3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 FLOOR BOARD (for Separate Type)   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

4. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected

7. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP   See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and

Repair/Removal

8. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE

(a) Remove the 9 bolts and inverter terminal cover.

CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.

NOTICE:
Make sure to pull the inverter cover straight up, as a connector is connected to the bottom of the cover.

(b) Check the terminal voltage    See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Power Control System/Voltage Inverter/Service and Repair/Inverter With

Converter/Removal.

CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.

(c) Install the inverter cover with the 9 bolts to the inverter with converter assembly.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

CAUTION:
Wear insulating gloves.
