(c) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, release the airbag connector lock and disconnect the curtain shield airbag

connector.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(d) Remove the 5 bolts.

(e) Remove the 4 clips.

(1) Using a clip remover, remove the 4 pins.

(2) Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, separate the 4 clips and curtain shield airbag assembly from the body as

shown in the illustration.
