Removal

2AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: THROTTLE BODY: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Lift the rear of the engine cover to detach the cover from the 2 pins, and then lift the front of the engine cover to detach the cover from the pin

and remove the engine cover.

3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and Repair/Removal
4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the water by-pass hose from the throttle body.
(b) Disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body.
(c) Disconnect the fuel tube from the clamp.
(d) Disconnect the throttle position sensor and control motor connector.

(e) Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle body with fuel tube bracket.

(f) Remove the bolt and fuel tube bracket.
