AXLE: FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT: REPLACEMENT

REPLACEMENT

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. REMOVE FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Brake/Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Front/Disassembly

4. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Using SST, remove the hub bolt that needs to be replaced.

SST: 09650-17011

5. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB BOLT

(a) Insert a new hub bolt into the bolt hole. Set a plate washer and nut on the hub bolt end.
(b) Using a brass bar or equivalent to hold the front axle, install the hub bolt by tightening the nut. Then remove the nut and plate washer.

6. INSTALL FRONT DISC See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Front/Reassembly
7. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH See: Brakes and Traction Control/Disc Brake System/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front Brake/Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
