(b) Using a press, press out the inboard joint from the drive shaft bearing to remove the drive shaft bearing.

NOTE:  Be careful not to drop the inboard joint.

(c) Remove the bearing case snap ring from the inboard joint.

16. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING

(a) Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring.

(b) Using SST and a press, press out the inboard joint from the drive shaft bearing to remove the drive shaft bearing.

SST: 09527-10011

(c) Remove the bearing case snap ring from the inboard joint.

Reassembly

DRIVE SHAFT: FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY (for 2WD): REASSEMBLY

REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RH)

(a) Install the bearing case snap ring.
(b) Using SST and a press, press the drive shaft bearing case onto the inboard joint RH.

NOTE:  Make sure the bearing is be completely installed.
