Repair Procedure

1.

Remove the two rear roof rack leg covers.

2.

Slide both roof rack cross bars rearward off of the vehicle.

3.

Replace the joints with the new parts as listed in the Parts Information table.

NOTE:

Retain the roof carrier caps and roof rack plates from the original joints for use with the new parts.

4.

Reinstall the cross bars, making sure that the directional arrows stamped on the joints are facing forward on the vehicle.

NOTE:

If the cross bars are reinstalled backwards, they will create wind noise at highway speeds.

5.

Confirm that all roof carrier caps are secure.
