Audible Warning Device: Description and Operation
Key Reminder and Light Reminder Buzzer
SYSTEM OUTLINE
Current always flows to TERMINAL 12 of the combination meter through the DOME fuse.
When the ignition SW is turned to ON position, current flows to TERMINAL 11 of the combination meter through the ECU IG fuse. When the light
control SW is turned to TAIL or
HEAD position, current is applied to TERMINAL 13 of the combination meter through the TAIL & PANEL fuse.
1. KEY REMINDER SYSTEM
When the ignition key is remaining in the key cylinder with the ignition SW at ACC or OFF position, and the driver's door is opened, a buzzer
comes on, and reminds the driver that the ignition key is in the key cylinder.
2. LIGHT REMINDER SYSTEM
When the light control SW in TAIL or HEAD position, the ignition SW is turned to OFF from ON position, and the driver's door is opened, the
current flow to TERMINAL 11 of the combination meter stops. As a result, the combination meter is activated and current flows from
TERMINAL 13 of the combination meter to TERMINAL 16 to GROUND, sounding the buzzer.
Seat Belt Warning
SYSTEM OUTLINE
When the driver has not fastened the seat belt while the ignition SW is ON, the driver seat belt warning light blinks, and a warning buzzer comes on.
Also, in the front passenger seat, a sensor recognizes a passenger, and when the passenger has not fastened the seat belt, the front passenger seat belt
warning light blinks.
